Our Story
Humble Beginnings
DressCode started the way most meaningful things do — small, personal, and rooted in curiosity. The founder and CEO, Eddy B., began by selling vintage clothes at Kobey Market, spending weekends learning what people actually looked for when they shopped: confidence, not just clothing. From there, he started personal shopping and styling for a handful of clients, helping them see how the right outfit could shift how they felt about themselves. Those early experiences — in conversation, in community, in the details — eventually led him to apply to the ZIP Launchpad at SDSU. It was there that he began turning a simple idea into a mission of empowering young people to dress with purpose.
Defining a Problem Worth Solving
Everywhere he looked, Eddy B. saw the same pattern: young people trying to figure out their personal style in all the wrong places. Scrolling endlessly through social media, comparing themselves to strangers, and buying clothes they don’t need — all in search of identity. The result? Wasted time, wasted money, and a quiet erosion of confidence along the way. At DressCode, we realize that style isn’t something we can copy or consume. It’s something we have to discover — thoughtfully, intentionally, and in alignment with who we’re becoming.
Our Perspective
Our Purpose
Crafting the Right Solution
That realization became DressCode, a fashion-focused venture designed to make it both meaningful and effortless for our clients to dress well for life's big moments. Through interactive experiences, gamified style discover, and a suite of services, DressCode helps young people reconnect with the luxury brand built around the ritual of preparation — transforming the act of getting dressed into an experience of mindfulness, self-respect, and presence — when it matters most. It’s not about chasing trends or curating perfection; it’s about learning to dress with intention, confidence, and care. Because, in a distracted world, the ultimate luxury is presence.

Eddy B.
I am a 29 year old MBA student at San Diego State University and the founder of DressCode.
For context, I’ve spent the last few years helping people redefine themselves through clothing - from serving as a personal stylist, to reselling vintage clothes, to now developing my own fashion-focused venture.
At DressCode, we have created a totally new, interactive space for people to experiment with their personal style and build community along the way.
Our events will change the way you shop for clothes; our game will change the way you get dressed.
